There are 3 easy steps to arrange your ceremony music:

STEP 1 – What to expect from your initial inquiry:

In this conversation/email the time and location of your ceremony is established plus availability of the Wedding Singer

Next we encourage you to ask all of the questions you might have so we can fulfill your exact requirements

We may ask questions to help you to establish or further assist in defining exactly what would suit you as a couple

Thirdly, an email is sent through to you which has some extra information, including the ‘Order Of Service’ for your Ceremony. This lists where you can place your music selections. We will also include the Wedding Singer’s complete repertoire list and the relevant booking information

STEP 2 – Follow up:

Once a deposit has been placed, a follow-up call is made the following week (or whenever best suits you) to see what ideas you have had regarding song/music selection

If you know what you already want – perfect, however, if you are not sure, The Wedding Singer can assist/guide you in choosing pieces to suit you and the style of service you would like. In almost all cases this can be done over the phone or via Skype. If you prefer a pre-wedding meeting, this can be arranged although an additional fee would be involved for time and travel. The economical option is for you to come along an hour prior to one of the Wedding Singers performances and your wedding can be discussed in detail then free of charge

Note: It is worth mentioning, in the case of a religious service, that all song selections must be approved by the Priest to avoid any disappointment on the day

STEP 3 – The week before your Wedding:

On the Monday of the week prior to your Wedding, the Wedding Singer (Eileen McCann) will contact the church or venue to ensure that access can be gained for set up an hour before the service

The Wedding Singer will also contact you on the Monday before your Wedding day to double check all booking details and to reassure you that everything is in place

FEES

The Wedding Singer, as a solo vocalist/musician, has one standard fee for all Wedding Ceremonies whether it be for one music or vocal piece or for the entire Wedding Ceremony. The fee covers:

  • As many phone conversations or Skype calls necessary to ensure everything is placed in order for your Ceremony
  • Telephone calls liaising with the priest and secretary organising the logistics for parking and set-up of the PA sound system on the day at the church or outdoor venue
  • The hire of the latest and best quality PA sound system for indoor or outdoor Weddings
  • Travel expenses in Metropolitan Sydney
  • Arrival an hour before the ceremony on the day to set up equipment
  • Playing time before the service begins, i.e. as soon as guests commence being seated, which is usually 20 mins before the actual service starts
  • Up to a 1.5 hour performance time (this includes the 20 minutes before service)
  • An additional song to Eileen’s existing vast repertoire. The Wedding Singer is happy to learn one special song/or piece of music for the Wedding Ceremony as long as a recording of the request and the written music can be acquired 30 days prior to the event
  • Public liability – Eileen and her musicians provide their own cover.
  • Items incurring additional cost would be: travel outside of the Sydney metropolitan area, hire of a generator (this applies to large outdoor performances only), moving locations within the Ceremony time and parking fees.

Funeral service planning

Advanced planning of your service will help your family immensely. It is a comfort to all concerned when you have already chosen the style of service you would like together with your musical tribute preferences.
Choose whether it is a religious or secular funeral, the style of flowers, the music you do or do not want to have played or sung. Would you like to nominate a charity for donations instead of money being spent on flowers? Plan the readings or poems you would like presented or included in the funeral brochure.
Your personal input into the ceremony will add depth and integrity to your service.
The service of ‘Planning Your Own Musical Tribute' is conducted in a one off meeting, which is comparable to creating a will. Eileen will help you set in place the details of your own future funeral. This is documented with copies to be kept with your will and with your next of kin. It can be as detailed or as simple as you wish, the goal is to remove stress, doubt and unnecessary cost during your loved ones' time of grief.
